You know when you come across something that you know is just so great you can't get your head around it so you have to keep looking at it to check?? Well, i had that with this book: Sheds by Nigel Peake, this is his blog spot: http://nigel-peake.blogspot.com/

A round of applause.

This is a card i bought at the All i want for Xmas fair i was selling at, i feel in love with this ladies work - Esther Connon. She's a Cornwall based artist whom screen prints (like me) all her beautiful images on to cards, posters, boxes etc. Check her out!
The below business cards, by the way, look a lot better in the flesh!

I happened to come across an exhibition of Amelia Gregory's, it was a launch of her new magazine: amelias anthology of illustration (Publisher: amelia's House. It's the 10th issue, i think!) . Amelia's Magazine, "offers inspiration on many different levels - to aspiring illustrators, to working illustrators, to art directors and those interested in ways in which we can imagine an alternative and sustainable future for our planet". The book features 40 different profiles and is printed in the UK using environmentally responsible vegetable inks on FSC approved paper.

Above are a few examples of her very brilliant a-ray of business cards.
I was at the Truman Brewery All i want for Xmas fair, selling my stuff these past few days. It was great fun, thank you to all who came and a big thank you to those who bought, it's such a massive buz selling my goods to those who love them to! Thanks xx

I was sent this very cool example of a business card. They're making me reassess mine i can tell you!

Sunday 29 November 2009

I was invited by an American friend of mine to join her and about 15 of our other friends for a Thanks Giving dinner yesterday..... yum... in a word.

2 excuses for a Christmas style dinner, why don't we do that??!

As some of you may know the ski season is once again upon us, the beauty of the mountains is second to none but they deserve much respect so if you are heading out this winter then have the time of your life but take care and be respectful.

If you are interested and want to check out some guys who know what they are doing and do it with fantastic style, pushing the boundaries of not only skiing but the way it is viewed then please take a look at www.nimbusindependent.com
I have been officially activated on notonthehighstreet.com. Very excited! If any of you don't know what it is then please take a look. I'm definitely very proud to have my stuff on sale there, fingers crossed it generates lots of sales! I also have a good friend on there, she is an interior designer, look her up: Louise Harris Interiors. She's got great taste so if you're ever in need of an interior designer...
If you live in Norwich, UK, then you may know of a lovely shop called Perfect Pad, my friend has a concession there called Cherry Cherry (to check out her blog see the list of bloggers i follow). Anyway she has been so kind as to stock a few of my cushions so if you are near by then please pop in and take a look not only at my stuff but her gorgeous stuff to.

These are some of the new Christmas cards i have made and will be available for sale at the All i want for Xmas fair in London. See: what i am up to.

I made up some cards yesterday of an illustration i did of my home city, Chester, which is a beautiful old Roman city. I printed in these neon colours to contrast with the cities traditional and historic status, plus it looks cool!

I went to Plymouth in the summer with my darling friend Jo, we walked, drew, ate fish and chips like they were going out of fashion and watched the sail boats, the Fast Net race was in play so there was a great buzz...oh summer memories, this November rain is horrid.

I did a fair recently in a beautiful house in Cheshire, i couldn't work out exactly what it was about the house that gave it such a comfy feel but i was prompted to why in the end...all the walls are curved at the edges. Simple but it really made all the difference.
